Super inexpensive, and very versatile
A scarf is a simple way to bring one of your best colors up near your face. By adding just a couple of scarves to your wardrobe, you'll give yourself a ton of options during this transition period.
So which should you choose... one of your best neutrals? A pop color? A print?
If your wardrobe is currently full of solid colors, I'd suggest adding a printed scarf or two to the mix. If, however, you're full up on prints, a solid color that matches a color in the prints you wear most often will suit you best. In the latter case, it doesn't matter if it's a neutral or pop color; it will be most helpful if it matches your prints.
Whichever you choose, keep in mind your low level of contrast. If you wear a lighter or bolder outfit, a medium scarf will be great. If your outfit is mostly in your medium best colors, a lighter scarf or bolder scarf from your palette is the way to go.
Clicking the scarf will take you to a few of my favorites in the NEUTRAL color palette.
The perfect blend of color, shape, and style
Cover a "wrong" color with a "right" one
A great jacket, cardigan, wrap, or other layer will bring one of your best colors up near your face, drawing attention to your eyes.
ANNNNNND... another reason that an outer layer is so fantastic is... it covers up a lot of the "wrong" color.
If you have a shirt that's in a color that's not great on you, a jacket or cardigan that only shows the shirt down a narrow column in the middle of an open jacket takes care of that issue pretty quickly. Keep the outer layer buttoned or zipped, and it's a done deal!
That makes an outer layer likely the best option for transitioning a wardrobe that has quite a few pieces that aren't in your best colors. It will cover more of the "wrong" color than a scarf or necklace, and will also bring quite a large surface area of a "right" color near your face.
And, if you get something in one of your best neutrals, you'll be able to wear it with quite a few things already in your wardrobe. Better yet, you'll be sure it also works with the new pieces you'll be moving into your new wardrobe.

If you've learned your best colors, and you're at the point of purchasing a few transition pieces, you'll want to make sure you're also buy things that flatter your shape.
What does that mean? Does shape even matter for something as simple as a scarf or necklace? What difference does shape make with just a single jacket?
It does matter! (And it doesn't have to be complicated.)
In my Shape Intensive I'll walk you through how to tie a scarf for your specific body shape, what shape and style of necklace will suit you best, and which length and style of jacket will be most flattering on you.
But, of course, you'll learn what cuts of jeans to buy, how to put together outfits to create visual balance, you best necklines, and so much more!
